We recommend that you read through the Terms of service and conditions carefully, before booking a trip.
Booking and confirmation
Our trips must be booked electronically. Once you have booked a reservation you will immediately receive confirmation on e-mail. Check whether the data in the registration are correct. Contact Expa Norway should any errors occur, or if you have difficulties or questions to the booking procedure. You are responsible for keeping us informed of any change of address so that information and travel documents reach you in time.
Your registration is binding. The provisions on cancellation in the Norwegian Cancellation Act (Act relating to the duty of disclosure regarding and right to cancel distance contracts and off-premises sales) does not apply when booking services. Failure to pay the amount on time is deemed to constitute a material breach of contract and entitles Expa Norway to cancel the booking, but our deposit claim does not lapse in the event of such cancellation. If necessary we will take steps to collect the money.
When you book the trip, you pay the full amount by credit card. We accept the following credit cards: Mastercard and Visa card.
Refunds in connection with cancellation of a trip are in accordance with the following rules:
No refunds are paid to customers who fail to turn up on the day of departure.
The price of the trip has been set based on a given rate at the point of production. Expa Norway reserve the right to price adjustments if unexpected changes result in substantial mark-up of the price from our sub suppliers. The same applies for any price adjustments that are caused by other circumstances that Expa Norway do not control.
Such adjustments cannot occur closer than 30 days prior to departure.
It rests upon the customer to draw a cancellation insurance.
For all cancellations a medical certificate is required. In the event of a cancellation we recommend that you get in touch with your travel insurance company.
Cancellation of the trip (by Expa Norway)
Fees for change of tickets etc.
For any changes of ticket based on the customer’s will, an administrative fee of 350, – NOK will be charged in addition to any costs for the change itself with the supplier (Hotels, activities etc). Costs for any change of name on the ticket might apply.
The customer`s inspection responsibility
It is the customer`s responsibility to control that the received travel documents are correct with regards to date, price, content etc.
A passport is required when traveling to Norway from a country outside the Schengen area. We recommend that you always bring your passport. If a visa is required for your travel to Norway, you are responsible to be granted a visa for Norway.
It is the customer`s responsibility to ensure that the passport is valid according to current regulations. Any costs incurred by obtaining a new passport and visa must be compensated by the customer. It is recommended to make a copy of the passport and keep this separate during the trip.
Liability in the event of damages
Expa Norway do not cover expenses and assume no liability if damages on people or materials occur as a consequence of reckless use of equipment that are part of the trip`s package, such as bikes.
It is the customer`s responsibility to take out their own travel insurance, with an adequate medical- and accident insurance that is to cover any repatriation. It is recommended to make a copy of the travel insurance and keep this separately during the trip. On travels in Norway it is advantageous to carry a European Health Insurance Card from your National Health Insurance Office. This entitles you to medical care in EEA-countries in the same manner as the country`s own inhabitants.
Level of the tour
Some of our trips are physically, mentally and technically challenging. Therefore, you are obliged to be physically and mentally fit and technically well-prepared on departure. Contact Expa Norway for more information about physical and mental fitness and technical skills requirements for your trip. We reserve the right to refuse participants who do not meet the necessary physical fitness standard, technical or mental requirements.
Defects of the trip
If the customer finds defects related to the trip, this must immediately be conveyed to the travel guide. If the defects are not fixed in a satisfactory manner, the customer may be entitled to a discount, provided that the person concerned inform of this. The right to compensation does not apply if it can be documented that the defect is not Expa Norway or any of our local partner`s fault, or that no one could prevent the incident. The same holds true for force majeure, civil/military state of emergency, natural disasters, strike etc.
Changes in program
Expa Norway make reservations of minor changes in the program. It could be related to schedule, choice of eating place etc. Any changes will not affect the total quality of the product.

It rests upon the customer to contact vaccination offices to receive recommendations for potential vaccines.
Use of external transportation
In cases where Expa Norway use the services of transport companies (aeroplane, bus, ferry, train etc.) the terms of the individual countenancer apply, and Expa Norway assume no liability in the event of any accidents or damages that may occur.
The customer`s responsibility in transit
You are obliged to stay informed about departures and comply with any related instructions from Expa Norway.
It is you as customers responsibility to meet the guide at the agreed time and place at the day of departure, given by Expa Norway.
You must comply with the tour guides’ instructions, directions and orders during the trip.
The customer must act in a manner that is not a nuisance for others or creates safety problems or other problems for the fellow travellers or Expa Norway. Gross violation of this entitles Expa Norway to consider sending home the customer at the customer`s expense.
Expa Norway assume no responsibility for loss or inconvenience that is caused by the customer`s own negligence
During the tours the customer is responsible for use of safety equipment when ordered (helmet as an example). The customer is required to check that the bicycle is always in a proper condition, and report to the travel guide as soon as possible if defects are discovered. It is the customer`s obligation to follow the current traffic regulations and ensure that consumption of alcohol does not affect biking skills.

Expa Norway’s trips are covered by the package travel law and our membership in The Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund provides you as a consumer the best possible protection.
